Carmen opened the taberna with four tables and an inherited paella pan. Today her son Vicente runs it, still lighting the vine-wood fire at eleven on Sundays so the rice is ready at two.
We buy vegetables from Vinalopó growers and wine from cellars in Monóvar and Pinoso. No big speeches: good produce, fire and time.

With us since 1994. Nobody goes near his paella pan.
Sunday’s arroz con costra just like my grandmother’s. We booked on Thursday and got a terrace table.
